Beginners program

Firearm Safety & Orientation Classes for new shooters are held every 3rd Saturday of the month at the Sierra Vista Shooting Range.

As the class size is currently limited, registration is required for your first FREE safety orientation class. Monthly Graduate Shoots are also scheduled for ladies wanting to continue learning throughout the year.

Beginner and Advanced NRA Certification Courses are also scheduled for 2011. Please see NRA Certification section under programs. Contact Us to get on our mailing list for class announcements!

All ladies are required to take the initial orientation course in order to participate in The Shooting Stars Training Program, regardless of their level of expertise. All shooters MUST be at least 18 years old.

INITIAL SAFETY ORIENTATION CLASS Consists of: a 1-Hour Firearms Safety Instruction Course followed by 1 Hour out on the range with an experienced coach helping you take your first shots or assisting the experienced shooter in working on those more challenging ones.

New Shooters will learn everything from A-Z about safe gun handling, determining your dominant eye for shooting, techniques on proper aim, breath control, stance, gun grip, trigger control, how to follow through on each shot and much, much more! Our program provides women a place to go where they can learn and practice in a Safe, Fun & NON-Intimidating environment. If you’ve never touched a gun in your life and want to learn or you are an experienced shooter looking for a fun place to go and practice with the gals, this is the place for you!

Firearms, ammunition, eye/ear protection & personal trainer will be provided by the range for your first FREE Safety Orientation Class!!!
